About Sports4u

Our purpose

Sports4u.online is an independent resource for people who want to understand sports calculations without hunting through complicated spreadsheets. The site combines free browser-based calculators with step-by-step guides for cricket, football, basketball, running and tournament organization. Our aim is to explain both what a result means and how it is calculated.

A cricket fan might need a run-rate calculation during a match, while a coach might need an easy fixture list before a weekend tournament. Those are different jobs, but both benefit from simple inputs, transparent methods and useful examples. Our content is organized around those practical tasks.

What you can do on Sports4u

  • Cricket: calculate current, required and net run rates, then consult examples that explain balls, overs and innings rules.
  • Football: calculate points and create a league table using user-entered results and scoring settings.
  • Tournaments: build round-robin fixtures, brackets and fair team selections for local events.
  • Running: convert time and distance into pace or speed and estimate race finishes.
  • Basketball: calculate field-goal, three-point and free-throw percentages from makes and attempts.

How the calculators work

Most of our interactive tools run in your own browser. Enter the requested numbers, select relevant settings and review the computed output. The nearby explanation should help you check the arithmetic by hand. Results are estimates or calculations based on the information you provide; they are not official league records or live feeds.

For example, 240 cricket runs from 40 completed overs give 240 ÷ 40 = 6.00 runs per over. In running, a 30-minute 5 km effort is 6:00 minutes per kilometre. These examples show why units and competition rules matter just as much as the arithmetic.

Accuracy, corrections and limitations

We design explanations around widely used formulas, but governing bodies and individual tournaments may apply their own regulations. Net run rate can require special treatment for all-out innings and rain-adjusted matches. Football competitions may use different tie-breakers. Basketball statistics require consistent definitions of attempts. Always check the official rules before using a result for an important competition.

Sports4u does not claim to publish official live scores, verified historical datasets or professional medical advice. If you notice an error in a calculation, an unclear example or a broken link, please tell us the tool name, the numbers you entered, the result shown and the outcome you expected. That makes corrections easier to investigate.

Editorial approach

We favor practical examples, clearly identified assumptions, understandable definitions and links between tools and learning guides. Content is intended to help readers reproduce calculations on their own. We do not present invented match results as real records, and we distinguish examples from factual claims.
