How race prediction works
This predictor uses the Riegel formula: predicted time = recent time × (target distance ÷ recent distance)^1.06. It is an estimate, not a guarantee.
Worked example
A recent 25-minute 5K can be used to estimate a 10K finish time, though endurance and course conditions matter.
Tips for better results
- Double-check all input values before calculating.
- Use the competition's official rules if they differ from the standard formula.
- Use this tool for planning and learning; results do not replace official records.
