Understanding net run rate
A simplified NRR is scoring rate minus conceding rate. Official competitions can apply special treatments for all-out and reduced-overs matches; consult the event rules.
Worked example
A scoring rate of 8.0 and conceding rate of 7.5 gives a simplified NRR of +0.500.
